Hadley and Harper's First day of First Grade

On August 29th, Hadley and Harper started First grade!
During one of my trips this summer I asked the girls if they wanted me to go to school with them on the first day. They were like yes! So I drove up on Sunday night to be with them for their first day.

They wore Lilly dresses that mom and I gave them.

Book bag picture!

Loaded up and ready to go.

I am thankful that I got to walk in with the girls and meet their teacher for the year!

Last year I interviewed the girls before they started Kindergarten.  I thought it would be fun to do it again and compare their answers.

August #moeeveryday2016

August

August in Augusta!

Just doing a little instagram modeling for Palm Village Augusta!

Sade tried to teach me the trick to taking selfies.
#notsureiwasagoodstudent

I had to take a few unexpected trips to visit the girls during August. Not that I am complaining about spending time with these cuties. Hadley and Harper are always fun to spend time with.

I thought standing on the train tracks for a picture would be cool but the girls didn't think so. They were slightly scared.

Once we crossed the train tracks we ran into the Lilly store in Southern Pines. The girls had a mini fashion show!

Mom (aka Granny Janet) came for a visit too! The girls loved listening to her read a story.

And Winston enjoyed resting on my leg!

So this happened in August. I got my first flat tire. I wish I could tell you that I changed it myself but I just cried and had to find a place to fix it for me.

Jennifer sent me this sweet picture of the girls sometime during the month.

We got some new arrivals at the store. I had to add this dress to my collection!

I was starting to feel homesick when I got a call from Mom asking if she and dad could come for a visit. Of course I said yes!
We went to Red Robin to eat dinner. The girls and Myles really like Red Robin so we wanted to check it out. It was pretty good!

Every August Lilly Pulitzer has an online sale. Palm Village will match the online prices. It was a super busy day and I was exhausted!

Last day of the sale!!

One of the highlights of the month was meeting up with this crew for our Spring buying trip! I know I say it all the time but I love my Palm Village family!

And just like that the girls were 1st graders!
My heart is crying and smiling at the same time. Time needs to slow down.

July 2016 #moeeveryday2016

July...

Mom and I took a small vacation to visit the girls and Jennifer.  Snapchat became a favorite of the girls. They liked to see what pictures they could take with the different filters.

My super cute and sweet friend Amber surprised me with a quick visit this summer. She came in for a few hours. We got to have lunch and catch up! She also shared some super exciting news with me...she's having a baby! Amber will be such a great mom!

Another surprise visitor came to visit.
Eleanor surprised us at Palm Village Augusta this summer.

I enjoyed a weekend off and a nice dinner with some go the Palm Village Asheville girls!

Hadley and Harper took golf lessons this summer! I was happy they got to wear the cute Masters dresses I got for them!

I am currently obsessed with this cookie butter!

I sent this baby shift to Baby Piper a few weeks ago. I was happy to see it fit and Lauren sent me this picture. I can't wait to go home and see this sweet girl!

I picked up this frame for the girls pictures.
I sing this song to the girls every time I see them. I thought it was fitting to hang on my wall.

New fall arrivals at Palm Village Augusta!

This is one of my favorite quotes.
It is just a good reminder in this crazy world we live in.

Carmella is one of our favorites at Palm Village.

I had to make a last minute trip to visit my sweet girls.
I taught the girls the old butterfly dance! Their laughs are always my favorite!

I have never been one to wish summer away. Summer was always my favorite season when I was a teacher. I had almost two months off from school and I loved it! I still love summer but I am ready for some cooler evenings and mornings!  I can't wait for September. But I am not sure September will be any cooler in Augusta!

Thanks for reading!

#moeeveryday2016 -June

June started off really hot in Augusta and ended even hotter in Augusta!

Before I moved I knew it would be hot. I have visited Jennifer in the eastern part of NC during the summer. It's hot there so I thought I was somewhat prepared. But I was not. I don't think the temperature has been below 95 since June 1st! This has been a major adjustment for this mountain girl. I finally see why the mountains of North Carolina are a great getaway!

Palm Village Augusta was lucky to have a print designer come paint a dressing room and add some finishing touches to our store.

The print designer's name was Melissa so it was easy to remember!
Mo, Melissa, me (Moe or Melissa)

As I was walking on my morning walk I fell on the sidewalk! I am thankful that I was not walking alone that morning. My friends Eleanor and Chris were walking with me. They quickly picked me up!
My leg matched my Lilly dress for the day.

It was a bittersweet day. Hadley and Harper finished Kindergarten. They have grown so much.
They can read and write! I am so proud of them. They still don't love school but they did love their teacher!

This summer I have had two college girls working with me. I love having them around me. Palmer and Callie keep me young!

When the heat decided to come and stay a while I decided I needed to get away for a day or two. This was a 200 mile difference.  It was good to be home in the cool weather!
My friend Kelly was home visiting family too so we had to find time to have lunch. I finally got to meet Baby Thomas! Even though he really loves his mom, I think he decided he could love his Aunt Moe!

And I think he is in love with Cynthia!

We love our sweet Baby Corn!

On my way back to Augusta I had to run into the Asheville store to see my girls!

I made it back to Augusta just in time for the best Lilly pop up print ever!
You Gotta Regatta was re-released! This is one of my all time favorite Lilly prints!

I am feeling official. My business cards came in!

We spent Father's day in Hilton Head. It was nice to take a mini vacation to the beach.

I love my daddy!

I spent the morning of National Wear Your Lilly Day on the beach!

Kayle and Sade cement the store wearing the same dress! So I made them take a picture!

I am obsessed with Blake Lively's hair! So I tried to recreate her ponytail. I just need longer hair and little more curl!

I needed some models for Lilly shorts for little girls! Of course I asked my favorite little girls!

I am slowly making my house more of my home. I love the North Carolina print that my friend Traci made for me! It was the perfect touch for my entry way table.

Do all these pillows make my bed look big?!

Thanks for looking through all my June pictures for #Moeeveryday.

I always think its fun to look back and remember what I was doing throughout the month! See you soon with a July recap!

xoxo,
Aunt Moe
