Friday Favorites

Just a few favorites from the past week.

These girls
When I visited NYC a few weeks ago I got these classic NY tees for the girls. I think they liked them.

Harper wanted to write some names for me. She wrote Harper, Hadley, Moe, Janet, and Mom.

Pretty girls

We got new spring Lilly at the shop. Alex and I decided to try on some of our favorites. I just wish it was warm enough to wear those shorts!

Have a good weekend!

Style Me Sweaty

Last Thursday my Pure Barre studio had a special event called Style Me Sweaty.  It included a  special class followed by fashion show featuring Pure Barre clothes and Lululemon clothes.

Flavia taught the full class.

A couple of weeks ago Flavia, owner of Pure Barre Asheville, asked me to be a model in the fashion show. This was totally out of my comfort zone. (I really don't like to be the center of attention in large groups and especially in my workout clothes!) But I felt honored that Flavia would ask me so I decided to do it.

I was nervous before walking out. I wasn't sure what I should do. I think I might have turned and twirled a little too much on the red carpet/runway but it was a blast! As I walked out the music was loud and it was blasting the song "I'm Too Sexy". (The song choice totally cracked me up!) The audience was very encouraging which totally helped this girl make it through it!

My outfit was so cute and comfy. The Lululemon staff did a great job picking out the outfits for the evening. My top was from Lululemon and my pants were from Pure Barre. I loved the pants.  I plan to purchase a pair of them when I hit 150 classes!
All the lovely models

Flavia, Lindsay, and me
I absolutely adore these ladies! They are always so supportive and encouraging!

My sweet friend Emily came to the class and stayed for the fashion show. I am so thankful for sweet friends! It was nice seeing her while I was walking on the catwalk! Thanks Emily - you helped calm me down.

The Style me Sweaty was a fun night and I can now say I was a fashion show model for a brief moment in my life! I want to say thank you to the Pure Barre staff and Lululemon staff for putting together such a fun event and thank you for making this girl feel so comfortable and encouraged!

I know I say this all the time but I would love to "meet you at the barre!"

New York Weekend

Over the long weekend my friend Michele and I traveled to New York to visit our mutual friend Katelyn. Katelyn moved to Brooklyn about a year and half ago. We have been talking about going to see her since she moved. I'm so happy we decided to go. We had a blast!

An airport selfie
 Next stop Brooklyn
On Saturday morning we had breakfast and walked around Katelyn's neighborhood before heading to take a Pure Barre class.
I love this wall in the Pure Barre studio.
This was Katelyn's 200th Pure Barre class!
I took this selfie and sent it to Hadley and Harper to let them see how cold it was on Saturday! It was so cold.

On Saturday evening we traveled into New York City. Our first stop was the 9/11 memorial.

 Freedom Tower
 We visited Rockefeller Center.
 And saw the musical Matilda.

My Fitbit results for Saturday
Sunday morning we woke up and it was pouring the rain! So we ran to a bagel shop and got some bagels!
We ventured back into the city on Sunday afternoon to do some shopping and eat some New York Pizza.

I wanted to visit the Lilly store and when we got there it was closed!

 Oh well! Maybe next time!

We visited Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks

 Macy's

The Empire State Building

We had a great time visiting with Katelyn and Seth in Brooklyn for the weekend. They were so kind to let us stay at their apartment with them. We ate some great food and had some fun. I can't wait to go back!

2015 Goals

I always make New Year goals. Sometimes they are simple and I reach it or cross it off my list. Sometimes they are are hard and I just never accomplish it. This year goals will be a challenge but I am hoping that on December 31 I can say I accomplished them!

My goals for 2015...

This year I plan to stop the negative self talk.
I don't know about you but I am my worst enemy. I constantly compare myself to others and put myself down. This year I am stopping that! I want my mind to have positive thoughts. I think this will be hard. For the past few days when I start negative talk I try to think something positive about myself. I am hoping that my friends will help me with this and give me reminders.

This year I plan to join this club and sign the barre.

I want to read 12 books or more if I can!

And my last goal for the year
spend every moment I can with theses precious girls.

I'm linking up for some show and tell! So exciting,  I mean who doesn't love a good show and tel?!

Do you make New Year's goals? I would love to hear what you are planning to do this year!

#moeeveryday2014 week 51

 Day 351
Lighting the menorah on the second night of Hanukkah with my Jewish friends.
I'm not Jewish but my friend Alex is so at our Lilly Christmas party we lit the menorah with her. I thought it was so neat to watch one of Alex's holiday traditions.

Not a picture of the day but a fun extra...my Lilly work family!

 Day 352
I helped my sweet friend Amber in her Kindergarten craft day! I had a blast in her classroom.

 Day 355
Family selfie. Just missing mom.
(She was sick so she missed out.)
