250 Club

Last week I took my 250th Pure Barre Class!

It took me three years and three different studios to get to the 250th class.

Jill, the owner at Pure Barre Augusta, has been so kind and welcoming to me since my move to Augusta!

I started my journey to the 250 club on December 30, 2013 at Pure Barre Asheville.

I instantly feel in love with Pure Barre.

I have begged my friends to join me at the barre.

I have had teachers that push me to do the final ten, best ten.

I have been known to break out my moves in the most random places.

I have made more friends join me at Pure Barre.

I have signed the 100 club barre in Asheville.

I have celebrated Pure Barre Asheville's birthday!

I have taken numerous pictures of my sticky socks.

I have been taken a class in Brooklyn with some of my besties!

I have celebrated 150 classes.

I have taken classes where I thought I might die with some crazy tubes!

I have smiled through 200 classes!

I have hosted a pop up Pure Barre class at Palm Village Asheville.

I have said good bye to my original Pure Barre and moved to Augusta.

I have found a new Pure Barre home at Pure Barre Augusta.

I have taken a picture everyday of the See Your Strong challenge.

I have visited Pure Barre Asheville on vacation and spent time with one of my favorite friends!

And..

I have loved every minute of my Pure Barre experience.  All 13,750 minutes of them!

If you have been one of my teachers or friends then you know this meme describes me perfectly.

Thanks to all my friends and teachers for helping me reach the 250 club!

Style Me Sweaty

Last Thursday my Pure Barre studio had a special event called Style Me Sweaty.  It included a  special class followed by fashion show featuring Pure Barre clothes and Lululemon clothes.

Flavia taught the full class.

A couple of weeks ago Flavia, owner of Pure Barre Asheville, asked me to be a model in the fashion show. This was totally out of my comfort zone. (I really don't like to be the center of attention in large groups and especially in my workout clothes!) But I felt honored that Flavia would ask me so I decided to do it.

I was nervous before walking out. I wasn't sure what I should do. I think I might have turned and twirled a little too much on the red carpet/runway but it was a blast! As I walked out the music was loud and it was blasting the song "I'm Too Sexy". (The song choice totally cracked me up!) The audience was very encouraging which totally helped this girl make it through it!

My outfit was so cute and comfy. The Lululemon staff did a great job picking out the outfits for the evening. My top was from Lululemon and my pants were from Pure Barre. I loved the pants.  I plan to purchase a pair of them when I hit 150 classes!
All the lovely models

Flavia, Lindsay, and me
I absolutely adore these ladies! They are always so supportive and encouraging!

My sweet friend Emily came to the class and stayed for the fashion show. I am so thankful for sweet friends! It was nice seeing her while I was walking on the catwalk! Thanks Emily - you helped calm me down.

The Style me Sweaty was a fun night and I can now say I was a fashion show model for a brief moment in my life! I want to say thank you to the Pure Barre staff and Lululemon staff for putting together such a fun event and thank you for making this girl feel so comfortable and encouraged!

I know I say this all the time but I would love to "meet you at the barre!"

New York Weekend

Over the long weekend my friend Michele and I traveled to New York to visit our mutual friend Katelyn. Katelyn moved to Brooklyn about a year and half ago. We have been talking about going to see her since she moved. I'm so happy we decided to go. We had a blast!

An airport selfie
 Next stop Brooklyn
On Saturday morning we had breakfast and walked around Katelyn's neighborhood before heading to take a Pure Barre class.
I love this wall in the Pure Barre studio.
This was Katelyn's 200th Pure Barre class!
I took this selfie and sent it to Hadley and Harper to let them see how cold it was on Saturday! It was so cold.

On Saturday evening we traveled into New York City. Our first stop was the 9/11 memorial.

 Freedom Tower
 We visited Rockefeller Center.
 And saw the musical Matilda.

My Fitbit results for Saturday
Sunday morning we woke up and it was pouring the rain! So we ran to a bagel shop and got some bagels!
We ventured back into the city on Sunday afternoon to do some shopping and eat some New York Pizza.

I wanted to visit the Lilly store and when we got there it was closed!

 Oh well! Maybe next time!

We visited Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks

We had a great time visiting with Katelyn and Seth in Brooklyn for the weekend. They were so kind to let us stay at their apartment with them. We ate some great food and had some fun. I can't wait to go back!
