weekend fun

I had such a fun weekend! We celebrated Lunch at Lilly on Saturday at Palm Village Asheville! It was my first time working Lunch at Lilly and I was extremely excited to be a part of the Palm Village team. Lunch at Lilly has always been one of my favorite days at Lilly over the past 4 years and this year did not disappoint!

A few days before the event Lilly Pulitzer posted a little history about Lunch at Lilly.

It began as a shopping event with a prize Lunch with Lilly (the actual Lilly Pulitzer!). Today we carry on the tradition in a new way and plan to make you feel as good as a luncheon with Ms. Pulitzer herself! How? With Presents!

Hold on to your shifts!
We served the most adorable shift cookies with our lunch!

My sweet and wonderful co-workers, Jamie and Alex.

While I was working at Lilly, Jennifer sent me this picture of Harper at her first soccer game. That is the face of pure joy!

On Sunday, my parents and I headed down to visit the girls and family for a quick trip. I took the girls the first of their Spring Lilly.  I think they liked it!

On Monday I took the girls out for a girl's day! They got to skip school and we had a fun day together.

Our first stop was the new Lilly store that opened in their hometown. This store has a Lilly jeep and we couldn't resist taking a picture in front of it. Hadley would love to have her own Lilly jeep.

The girls got to pick out a few dresses to try on. They loved getting to pick out dresses and play dress up.

After our visit to the Lilly store we headed to get an orangeade. Every time I visit I have to go get one.

When we went in the store was offering free manicures for customers. The girls were excited to get there nails painted!

I love these girls so much and I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to spend time with them. I look forward to more girls days in the future.

Life Lately

Here is my life lately...

I took my 150th barre class! I only have 100 more before I get to sign the 250 barre!
Right now I am in the middle of this crazy March Madness challenge! I am hoping to reach 250 by July.

Apparently I have a thing about posing with cardboard cut outs. This was at dinner one night.

And in New York I posed with a wall picture.

I visited the Biltmore House with my mom and some of her friends!

My dear, sweet, precious, and beautiful friend Cynthia retired from the school. She has been an amazing friend to me and I will miss seeing her everyday.

I had to say goodbye to another amazing co worker at Lilly. My friend Emily gets me. She understands my crazy obsession with Disney and Instagram. But she is off to bigger and better things in her life! Best of luck to my soul friend/sister!

I love my Lilly Dream Job! My team, my boss, and the clothes are pretty fabulous!

In this picture I was trying on a new popover! I fell in love and I'm waiting for it to fall in love with me!

I had to include this picture of sweet Harper. March has been crazy ans I haven't been able to travel to see the girls. I'm hoping we have a visit soon!

And just for fun...

Friday Favorites

Just a few favorites from the past week.

These girls
When I visited NYC a few weeks ago I got these classic NY tees for the girls. I think they liked them.

Harper wanted to write some names for me. She wrote Harper, Hadley, Moe, Janet, and Mom.

Pretty girls

We got new spring Lilly at the shop. Alex and I decided to try on some of our favorites. I just wish it was warm enough to wear those shorts!

Have a good weekend!

Style Me Sweaty

Last Thursday my Pure Barre studio had a special event called Style Me Sweaty.  It included a  special class followed by fashion show featuring Pure Barre clothes and Lululemon clothes.

Flavia taught the full class.

A couple of weeks ago Flavia, owner of Pure Barre Asheville, asked me to be a model in the fashion show. This was totally out of my comfort zone. (I really don't like to be the center of attention in large groups and especially in my workout clothes!) But I felt honored that Flavia would ask me so I decided to do it.

I was nervous before walking out. I wasn't sure what I should do. I think I might have turned and twirled a little too much on the red carpet/runway but it was a blast! As I walked out the music was loud and it was blasting the song "I'm Too Sexy". (The song choice totally cracked me up!) The audience was very encouraging which totally helped this girl make it through it!

My outfit was so cute and comfy. The Lululemon staff did a great job picking out the outfits for the evening. My top was from Lululemon and my pants were from Pure Barre. I loved the pants.  I plan to purchase a pair of them when I hit 150 classes!
All the lovely models

Flavia, Lindsay, and me
I absolutely adore these ladies! They are always so supportive and encouraging!

My sweet friend Emily came to the class and stayed for the fashion show. I am so thankful for sweet friends! It was nice seeing her while I was walking on the catwalk! Thanks Emily - you helped calm me down.

The Style me Sweaty was a fun night and I can now say I was a fashion show model for a brief moment in my life! I want to say thank you to the Pure Barre staff and Lululemon staff for putting together such a fun event and thank you for making this girl feel so comfortable and encouraged!

I know I say this all the time but I would love to "meet you at the barre!"

New York Weekend

Over the long weekend my friend Michele and I traveled to New York to visit our mutual friend Katelyn. Katelyn moved to Brooklyn about a year and half ago. We have been talking about going to see her since she moved. I'm so happy we decided to go. We had a blast!

An airport selfie
 Next stop Brooklyn
On Saturday morning we had breakfast and walked around Katelyn's neighborhood before heading to take a Pure Barre class.
I love this wall in the Pure Barre studio.
This was Katelyn's 200th Pure Barre class!
I took this selfie and sent it to Hadley and Harper to let them see how cold it was on Saturday! It was so cold.

On Saturday evening we traveled into New York City. Our first stop was the 9/11 memorial.

 Freedom Tower
 We visited Rockefeller Center.
 And saw the musical Matilda.

My Fitbit results for Saturday
Sunday morning we woke up and it was pouring the rain! So we ran to a bagel shop and got some bagels!
We ventured back into the city on Sunday afternoon to do some shopping and eat some New York Pizza.

I wanted to visit the Lilly store and when we got there it was closed!

 Oh well! Maybe next time!

We visited Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks

 Macy's

The Empire State Building

We had a great time visiting with Katelyn and Seth in Brooklyn for the weekend. They were so kind to let us stay at their apartment with them. We ate some great food and had some fun. I can't wait to go back!
