Weekend in Pictures

Since Dad's accident most of our weekends have been very low key. But this weekend we had some sweet visitors...

My sweet friend Jennifer visited this weekend with the girls so they could "cheer Papa Ronald up!" They did cheer him up! Dad looked forward to their visit all week. I looked forward to their visit all week too! It had been about 8 weeks since my last visit with those sweet girls.

We did a little shopping but mostly just hung out with dad.

Snuggles before they headed home. Harper kept saying she wanted to stay at Moe's. I wish they could stay longer but we all have school on Monday!

I finally got my new cross bracelet from Silpada on Friday. It had been on backordered for several weeks. It reminds me of this Tiffany bracelet but for half the price!

On Sunday afternoon we took dad outside to sit for a while. A little bit of sunshine can always help!

Thanks for reading!

Life

I have had so many blog posts planned in my head but life happened. My father was involved in a head on collision almost 4 weeks ago. We are so very thankful he is alive!

Dad stayed in the Trauma Care Unit at Mission Health for 20 days. He sustained a broken arm, wrist, sternum, leg and ankle in the accident. He underwent 3 surgeries for his wrist and leg.

Here is a picture from the accident scene. The photo is from our local paper, The Mountaineer. Dad was driving the black jeep.

My dad is such an active person so it has been hard for him to adjust to this new routine. He will not be able to put weight on his right leg for 12 weeks. But the doctors say his bones are healing and they are looking good!

We have been overwhelmed at all the love and prayers that we have received. We are so blessed and beyond thankful for every one of them!

My mom was studying her Sunday School lesson on the Sunday after the accident and this was her focus Bible verse -

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12

We felt like it was meant for us at this time!

We do, however, know beyond doubt that our God is the Great Healer.
Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts. Keep them coming!
