#moeeveryday2016 week 4

The fourth week of January was a whirlwind! It started with snow and I traveled to do inventory at our stores in Louisiana and Tennessee.

day 22
On Friday morning I woke up to snow! I spent most of the day watching it snow. I love snow and this didn't disappoint!

day 23
snow day number 2
I spent more time watching the snow and snuggled up on the couch reading!

day 24

My superstar teaching friend, Katelyn, is trying to raise money for her students in Brooklyn. I decided it was time to make a donation. And if you are reading this I think you should too! Every dollar counts!
Here is the link - Help Katelyn's 3rd graders

day 25
Lilly work trip. We flew to our Mandeville store (it's outside New Orleans) to help with inventory. Fun times!

day 26
Dinner out with the Palm Village Mandeville girls!
It was so nice to meet the girls I talk to almost everyday on the phone. These girls are so much fun!

day 27
Fourth state of the day
I started the day in Louisiana, made a stop in North Carolina and South Carolina, and ended in Tennessee! I was one tired girl.

day 28
After inventory on Thursday we had lunch in Knoxville with Lesa!

week four extras...
If I drank coffee I would totally have this cup!

Having some fun in Mandeville's dressing room with KT!
It was so fun spending time with Luana in her store in Mandeville.

 Mandeville dressing rooms.
I love seeing all the different dressing rooms in the different Lilly stores. I can't wait to see what my dressing rooms look like in Augusta!

#moeeveryday2016 week 3

Is it just me or is January just flying by? Thank goodness! January is my least favorite month!

day 15
I love my Palm Village family!
Leslie wouldn't stop making noises and using funny voices! She is pretty funny and we couldn't stop laughing at her.

Day 16
We had a "get fit in the new year" event at the shop.

day 17
I decided I would paint some furniture before I move. After several recommendations Mom and I got some Annie Sloan chalk paint. It has been so easy to paint and use. I can't wait to find more pieces to paint.

day 18
Some of my old school friends (and one favorite student) got together for dinner. This is just a few of the people that made NCE sweet! They surprised me with rolls of toilet paper. I thought that was a great gift! I will need that when I move. I am not sure if they thought it would be funny but I thought it was pretty fabulous! Ha!
(Check out the blond girl in the back photo bombing the picture! I guess she thought she was pretty funny and original!)

day 19
I spent the day at Palm Village Knoxville working with this awesome girl, KT. She is the assistant manager at the Knoxville store. The day went by so quickly and we were sad when we had to close!

The Knoxville store has some cute dressing rooms!

day 20
It finally snowed! I have been waiting for it to snow all winter. I am happy I saw some snow before I move. Apparently it doesn't snow much in Augusta!

day 21
My Sunday afternoon project from day 17 is finally complete! I can't wait to put this in my new place in Augusta!

I can't wait to see what week four has in store. I am traveling next week for work and we are preparing for a BIG snow storm! See you then!

#moeeveryday week 2

Week Two of 2016

day 8

Harper's picture

day 9
Just a few of the cute guest at my going away party. We love our Lilly shifts!

day 10

It was my last day with the girls at the "real" cabin and mountains.

Just a few extra pictures for day ten

Hadley getting ready to smooch the horse!

The girls were loaded up and ready to go home.
I still cry a little when I have to leave the girls or when they leave me.

day 11
I will remember this day as the day that I was late for a staff meeting at work. boo!

day 12
Maybe I will take up golf when I move to Augusta, especially if I can have pink golf clubs!

day 13
Looking for a place to live is tough and exhausting. I had to take pictures so I could remember what I had looked at. Every place started to look the same after a while!

Day 14
A few reminders of home for my new home!

going away

I am not sure if you know but I am moving away from the place that I have called home for 38 years.  But I think it is time for me to move and make my new home in Augusta, Georgia. I have this amazing opportunity standing before me and I feel like it is time to take a leap of faith and go with it.

As I started telling people I was moving everyone said they wanted to give me a going away party. So my Aunt Catherine and good friend Debbie started planning it.  They did an outstanding job. I am thankful to have these special ladies in my life. They allowed me to invite so many people who have been special to me throughout my life.

Jennifer and the girls made the trip to the mountains to celebrate! The girls looked so cute in their Lilly shifts. Even baby Piper dressed in her first Lilly shift!

 Sweetness!

Lori
My friend Lori had to come by early. It was great to have some one on one time with her. I taught first and second grade with her while I was at NCE. Lori has been an incredible friend to me. She has always been there for a good laugh and an encouraging word.

Jillian and Brooke
I have been privileged to watch these two girls grow up! I did my student teaching with their mom Cindy in 1999! Jillian was in 4th grade and Brooke was in high school. I spent so many afternoons with them while I was learning to be a teacher. They are such sweet and precious girls and I adore them and their mom!

Kate, Lisa, Kellie, and Mary
These ladies have been some of my biggest cheerleaders! They have been so supportive of my decision to take this adventure.

Harper, Kyndal, and Hadley
These girls helped me open gifts and were the biggest help!

I wish that I had gotten a picture with everyone! I want to remember this night forever. I felt an amazing amount of love and support! I have been blessed with some great friends and family. I don't take any of that for granted.

I want to end this post with some lyrics to one of my favorite songs...For Good from the musical Wicked. This song just sums up how I feel about all the people I have been blessed to have in my life!

(Glinda)
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you...
Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

(Elphaba)
It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend...
Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

#moeeveryday2016 week 1

In 2014 I took a picture everyday. It was tough but I have enjoyed looking back on those pictures from the year. And I kind of missed having a picture a day.

One day I was listening to the radio and they were interviewing Marilu Henner. I'm not sure if you know this little fact about her but she remembers everyday of her life. She has an amazing memory. She said one way to increase the normal brain and memory is to take a picture everyday and to look back on those pictures. Studies show that this will help increase your memory and help you remember that day in your life. While I was listening to that interview I decided I was going to take my picture of the day.

Now that I have that out of the way I can share the first week of pictures from 2016!

Day One
I spent the first day of the year with Hadley and Harper. I had to leave on New Years Day for home but I am happy I spent some time with the girls on this day.

Day Two
New Year, New Erin Condren Life Planner.
I have been using an EC planner for the past five years. So of course I had to get one for 2016. The hardest decision is picking what to put on the the cover. I love this picture from the first day of Kindergarten so it was a natural choice to pick it for my cover.

Day Three
I had to go to bed early so I could be at Palm Village Asheville at 8 am for the big sale!

Day Four
One my former and favorite students came to visit me at work on the Lilly sale day! I love this sweet girl and her mama so much! Thanks for dropping by and visiting.

Day Five
Lesa (the Palm Village Knoxville manager) and her friend Jacqueline visited Asheville for a fun girls getaway. Alex and I joined them for dinner at one of our favorites, Ruth's Chris!

Day five extra pic!
Lesa writes a blog too - My Life as a Mrs.  You should go check it out!

Day Six
The sky was a perfect pink. I love how the trees look against the pink sky.

Day Seven
I created an Instagram account for Palm Village Augusta. If you are on Instagram you should go follow the store.

Wow! I can't believe the first week of 2016 is over! I can't wait to see what week two has in store for #moeeveryday2016.  I am sure it will include some family, friends, and Lilly!

December

The month of December is always a busy month!

I started the month by traveling to Augusta to share the news that a Lilly store was opening there. We wanted to be there for the Holiday Open House in the center where the store will be located. I also shared the news that I would be moving to Augusta to be the store manager with all my friends and family. I am beyond thrilled to have this opportunity. It is truly my Lilly Dream Job!

Eleanor and I had a great time meeting the people of Augusta. They were so nice and welcoming! I can't wait to get to know everyone better and share my love of Lilly with Augusta!

We had our second annual Christmas/Holiday party for Palm Village Asheville. We had a blast sitting around the fire and chatting! My co-worker, Suzanne, was a fabulous hostess.

Alex and I celebrated the last night of Hanukkah at Ruth's Chris! We just had to take a picture in front of the Christmas tree to remember this fun night!

There are some things I miss about teaching. One of those things is my sweet and precious friend Amber! We taught third grade together several years ago and we became friends quickly! She is now teaching kindergarten and I asked her if I could volunteer during her Christmas craft day. Amber was so nice to let me come. I had a blast.

I went out one night and hung out with co-workers, Suzanne and Alex! I will miss these girls when I move to Augusta.

I got to spend some time with Kyndal! She loves dinosaurs and puzzles and we had a great time putting this puzzle together.

My first name is Mary and I am named after my Mamaw Mary. I thought it would be cute to have a picture with Mary, Mary, Me!

Just because he is a cutie...baby Corn!

Classic Christmas picture with the cousins

And the two M's of the family

It took all month but I did get to go visit with the girls. We were just having fun shopping around Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
