#moeeveryday2014 week 24

Day 169
It was my first day at my summer job. I am working a few days a week at Palm Village Asheville. I am so excited to learn more about Lilly!

Day 170
The 15 to Freedom challenge began at Pure Barre. To complete this challenge I have to do 15 classes of Pure Barre in a row.

Day 171
I cleaned out my closet and began listing items on Re-Lilly on Facebook. So it is out with the old and in with the new!

Day 172
I took a farm tour with my daddy. This is where he grows his watermelons and cantaloupes to sell. I hear they are the best melons around. (Right Michele?)

Day 173
Really? I think Glamour magazine is making big promises! Ha!

Day 174
Silpada Meeting
I love my Silpada sisters! They are such an inspiration to me.

Day 175
I spent the day at the spa. It was total bliss. I didn't make it to Pure Barre but thankfully I was able to send in this picture to count as my day six class.

Here is another picture of my practicing my barre moves at the Grove Park!

Thanks for reading!

weekend fun

Hadley, Harper, and McKinley came to visit this weekend. I was very excited because it had been almost two months since the last time I saw them. I will go ahead and apologize for so many pictures!

The girls love their Papa Ronald and Granny Janet

I had to work on Friday (last day for kids at school). While I was at school Jennifer and the crew went to the mall. They sent me pictures of McKinley and Hadley getting their ears pierced! They got pearls and look so cute. They were so proud of them.

On Saturday we stumbled upon a festival going on in town. There was music, crafts, and homemade ice cream. I think everyone enjoyed walking around.

 Myles loved the music.

Harper waiting for lunch.

Hadley said it was too bright and she needed some sunglasses to wear. Jennifer gave Hadley hers to wear. I wanted to snap a picture and Hadley had to pose.

Myles enjoyed his homemade ice cream.

We had to stop and take a picture of the day! Day 165.

The girls saw a clogger walking on the street and wanted to stay and watch them dance. They clapped and cheered the cloggers on. They thought the skirts were so pretty!

After all the fun at the festival, the group wanted to go to the river to catch some fish. I think it was a just excuse to get wet.

Mister Myles showing us how to fish.

We went to the Pisgah Inn on Sunday to celebrate Father's Day. Pisgah Inn is on the parkway near my house and we enjoy going up there to eat. The views are incredible and the food is pretty good too.

It was such a fun weekend and I hated it had to end. School is finally out for summer and I couldn't be more excited. I have some exciting things happening this summer. Stay tuned!

Day 156
I started working on my flower arrangement for my table for my tea party at my church. Flower arranging is not one of my talents!

Day 157
A Friday afternoon selfie with my co-workers Lisa. She was my assistant when I taught 1st grade and  I absolutely adore her!

Day 158
Let the tea party begin!

Day 159
I renewed my Biltmore annual pass so I can start my running again! I love running on the Biltmore Estate grounds. They are so pretty.

Day 160
My Erin Condren life planner helps keep me organized with my picture of the day and so much more!

Day 161
My school had 5th grade graduation at my high school. It is always feels odd for me to go back to high school!

Lilly Inspired Tea Party

On Saturday morning the women's ministry at my church hosted a tea party.  About a month ago they asked for people to sign up to host a table. I knew immediately that I wanted to be a hostess. I became very excited about planning out my table. Of course I wanted to do a pink and green Lilly Pulitzer theme. My inspiration came from an article I saw last year Southern Living. I looked it up and began planning.

 Me with my completed table!

When looking at the Southern Living pictures I knew I wanted to have the pink flamingo as my centerpiece. My friend Cynthia mentioned that she had a cabbage soup tureen that I could use to hold my flowers and flamingo. I think it help make my arrangement look even better!

I had Lilly napkins that I received as a gift with purchase last year in the Chin Chin print that I knew I wanted to use. I asked my friends at Palm Village if I could borrow the Chin Chin table cloth to complete the look.I also had cups in the Chin Chin print that I used as water cups and I added pink and white paper straws for fun!

I added pink tulle bows on the chairs for a little extra touch. I also made pink tissue flowers to hang above the table.

A picture of the whole table.

Since the tablecloth was so busy with print I knew I needed to break it up so there wasn't too much print. I bought gold chargers at Micheal's to help with this. My sweet co-worker and friend Lori let me borrow her white dishes with a gold trim. The tea cups I used were from a bridesmaid's tea party I hosted a few years  ago for my cousin Lauren. Mom and I collected them from an antique shop.

I had a blast planning and putting together my table for the tea party. The other tables at the tea party were nicely decorated too. All the women did an outstanding job putting together their tables.  I liked how they showed each of our personalities.

After we ate our tea party food we had listen to one of the women at my church speak. She shared how we need to be compassionate with people. She said we needed to love on people and let them know they would be okay because God says so in the bible. I enjoyed listening to her speak and thought she did a nice job.

The tea party was a fun event and I look forward to doing more things like this in the future with the women of my church!
